Quilling Stress Relief Mandala

Today we will make "Quilling Stress Relief Mandala", which is known to help reduce anxiety and stress relief.
This also helps for Meditation and Concentration.
So lets start..

Step 1: Making of Malaysian Flower Petal Shape

Step 2: Start From Centre

I made a quilling flower as centre of the mandala.
We need to makes lots and lots shape to complete this mandala.
Very important part of this project is Glue. Every time we need to fix and secure the end point with glue, and also the whole process is done by sticking different shapes with the help of glue.
Kindly refer pictures for reference.
For centre part I choose pinkish peach colour dark and light shade.
For centre part, 6 folded Circle and made a Malaysian flower. Next 6 tear drops and stick them.
12 curved leaf and stick as shown.

 

 

Step 3: Continue With Different Colours - Shade of Blue

 

Now, Continue the mandala with different Colour.
I choose a shade of blue for next level.
I use half strip to make a tiny blue tear drop. 12 Malaysian flower petals using half strip blue and half strip light blue.

 

 

Now I made more shapes of Blue and Peach colour, and stick with glue to make the mandala little bigger.
Kindly refer pictures for sticking arrangements.
Next make 12 peach colour curved leaf shape of one strip each, and stick as shown.

Step 5: Moving Further

 

I took one light bluish and one dark blue strip, join the end to end and made a tight roll.
Make 6 such tight roll, and stick them as shown.
Also made six green Malaysian flower petals and stick in-between two peach leaf.

Step 6: Make It Bigger With 30 Green Quilled Shape

Make 30 green Malaysian flower petals /shapes and stick as shown. 

 

Step 7: Continue.....

 Now I made six bigger petals of yellow and peach colour, 24 small petals of blue and yellow, 12 half circle of yellow colour, 12 curved eye shape of peach colour..... and stick them as shown..

Step 8: Finally Done

 And finally the mandala completed and ready to help for stress relief, meditation and also to increase concentration..

Now, its ready to frame ...

Quilling Mother and Daughter in a Moonlight Dream-garden

Handmade Gift for mom

Hello Friends. First of all, I want to thank you for stopping by.
Beautiful designs are made using Paper strips are called quilling.
I heard about paper quilling from one of my friend, and found its amazing.
I just love to create new designs, jewellery, wall art using quilling Method.
So here I tried to make something, which is new and different to me - A combination of Painting with quilling.
I make a background painting using acrylic colours and decorate it with quilled flowers.
"Quilling Mother and daughter in a Moonlight dream-garden" -
My best-ever Mothers day Gift which is completely handmade.I am also planning for framing my Art, but still not done, once it is framed, I upload that too. Keep in touch.
Here, in this project I use 12x18 inch Canvas board as base.
When I started this project, I was not aware about the contest, so initial photographs are not taken, sorry for that.

Step 1: Things Need for This Project

To make this project I have use some easy techniques so that any one who love to do quilling can do it.

1. 12 x 18 inch Canvas Board
2. acrylic colors
3. Flat brushes
4. 3 mm Paper Strips ( I use ready made paper strips, you can make your own using a cutter machine).
5. Glue (Fevicol)
6. Quilling Tools ( quilling slotted tool, tweezers, scissors)
7. Half sticky beads for decoration.

Step 2: Background Coloring and Draw a Rough Sketch 

 

I use acrylic colours and flat brushes for background painting.
after Background colour, I draw a sketch of tree, clouds and moon.
To colour the tree I use ....... acrylic colour.

And at last I draw Mother and daughter and colour too.
(This mother daughter idea I got from internet, its not my original idea, but colouring and drawing is my original work.)
Now the Basic background ready for quilling Work.
Now lets start the quilling work.

Step 3: Making Different Types of Shape

 In this project I use very simple shapes like Petal shape, swirl S shape, tear drops, tight rolls, fan-fold for grass making, curved half circle.

Step 4 : Arrangement of Quilling Shapes and Decoration 

 

Lastly, I arrange all the quilling shapes, flowers, grasses, Owls....

Quilling Mini garden and Princess

Happy summer Day 

Hello friends, welcome to my blog .

Today I will share with you my new creation a 3d Quilling art.

A little princess enjoying the summer at her dream garden. 

Many colourful birds singing for her.

Here I made a mini garden with quilling umbrella, princess doll, birds, bird feeder, cute little plants with pot, a mushroom, aloe Vera plant and also a very tiny fish if u can see.

This is approx 12 cm length and 11cm height mini 3d quilling art.

Quilling Little Dinosaur

My little boy loves dinosaur. He was asking to make a cute quilling dino for him, for so many days.

Happy Mother's Day

 

This post is about Mother's day. 

Mother's Day is celebrated  every year second week of may. 

Mother's day widely celebrated as a special day to honour all mothers and motherhood.
